Abstract:
In March 2001, on white mice, herba pipers lolot collected in Ha Noi surburd was studied concerning the chemical components, its toxicity and antiinflamative pain relief activities. Results showed a same chemical composion in the root and the stem with alcaloid, volatile oil, flavonoids, anthranoids, tannin, reductive sugar, amimo- acid…Total flavonoid level accounted for 1,14%. On thin layer chromatography there were 8 stains of flavonoid, 5 of alcaloids. About toxicity: decoction fluid of the dose of 200g/kg body weight, no toxicity was found. In alcoholic 90o extract with the dose of 20 g/kg body weight there was an antiinflamnative effect just at the 1st hour to 30th hour of the experiment, 39,63 - 69,15% of inflammative manfestation were inhibited. The solution of 4% total flamvonoid inhibited inflammation from 41,08% to 58,21%. Pain relief: in both methods alcoholic extact inhibited 62,50%- 64,05% and flavonoid in 4% solution inhibited 42,6- 54,6% equivalent to aspirine
