?2 Microglobulin levels were measured by radioimmunoassay in the serum of 114 patients with viral hepatitis and asymptomatic HBsAg carriers, and compared with 24 normal controls.Elevated serum ?2 microglobulin levels were found in acute viral hepatitis, chronic persistent or active hepatitis.
