Abstract:
In this study, we detected HBV marks in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and T, B lymphocytes from 38 patients with chronic hepatitis B.HBV marks were found in 29/38 cases (76.3%).Out of 17 patients 4 have positive HBsAg result, 2 positive HBeAg and 14 positive HBV-DNA in PBMCs. Positive HBsAg and HBeAg were found in T cells in 2 out of 21 patients, and HBV-DNA, in 1 patient.Positive HBsAg was observed in B cells in 3 of 21 patients, positive HBeAg in 6, positive HBV-DNA in 1.The positive ratios of HBV marks of active patients were higher than those of stable ones. These results suggest that HBV may destroy lymphocytes directly, especially during B the active stage of hepatitis, which may be one of the causes for immunological abnormality in chronic hepatitis B patients.
