Abstract: 55 cases of laryngeal cancer were treated with surgery alone from 1977 to 1981 in our hospital. The operative techniques employed included the Arslan's method (31 cases) and Vega's method (24 cases). All the cases were followed up for 3-7 years. The results showed that 5-year survival rate was achieved in 78% of the cases of supraglottic cancer and in 77% of the cases of glottic cancer.
