Abstract:
The pathological changes of the lungs in dogs with exprimental respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) treated with anisodamine were studied and compared with those of the control- On the basis of the analysis of the findings, it is suggested that the hemodynamic factor should play a role in the formation of pulmonary edema which is considered as the major pathological alteration of RDS, and that the benficial effects of anisodamine on RDS should probably be the result of that anisodamine can stabilize the lysosome membrane and protect the cells directly.
