Abstract:
Swine blood fibrin and heart muscle were hydrolyzed by pancreatic enzymes and some essential amino acid were adjusted to get a protein hydrolysa-te which was used as nitrogen source of an elemental diet (ED). The essential amino acid content and its pattern in the hydrolysate are similar to those of referance proteins.The use of this ED in 100 cases of surgical and malnourished patients revealed good therapeutic effects clinically.According to our study, the peptide-containing hydrolysate seems to be one way for preparing ED for clinical application and solving the problem of comprehensive utilization of rich protein resources in our country.
