Abstract:
Objective:To examine the applicability of Generalized Pathological Internet Use Scale(GPIUS) in college students of China. Methods:A sample of 667 college students completed translated Chinese version of GPIUS and Chinese version of Young Scale for IAD.Reliability and validity of GPIUS-CR were analyzed.Results:①The retest reliability,split-half and Cronbach’s ? reliability coefficients of total scale were 0.73,0.87 and 0.91 respectively.②Scores of total scale and each subscale were significantly correlated with scores of Young Scale at 0.01 levels.③Six factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis and explained 60.19% of variance.④CFA confirmed that standard measurement model fit data well:?2=1021.9,NNFI=0.94,NFI=0.92,CFI= O.94,RMSEA=0.080.Conclusion:Reliability and validity of GPIUS-CR is corresponded with psychometric standard, and it could be used as an effective instrument in diagnosis of generalized internet addition disorder.
