Abstract:
In an investigation on 215 patients (55 females, 160 males) aged 80-82, suffering from gastric, duodenal ulcer with Helicobacter pylori (+), 155 samples were isolated with a rate of successful culture of 72.1% and 116 strains of bacteria underwent an antibiogramme procedure for determining the sensitivity of the bacterium. Results showed the antibiotic resistance of metronidazole (M), clarithromycine (CLA), amoxycillin rating 54.3%, 21.6%, 18.1% respectively, with no difference concerning the age and the gender. During 3 years (2000-2002) there was a trend of enhance of resistance to 3 mentioned antibiotics, and metrodiazole got the highest resistance rate. These antibiotics are currently the most common tools to eliminate H. pylori, therefore this is a considerable concern in the treatment of gastro-duodenal ulcer of the next future
