Abstract:
Trial was made on a new way of administering drugs topically for eye conditions using a collagen corneal shield to deliver the agents. A 4mm perforating incision was made at the center of the rabbit's cornea. Thirty rabbits were used which were devided at random into 3 groups. The first group served as control, the second group was given basic fibroblastic growth factor (bFGF) as eyedrops, and the third groedup collgsu aen shields which had been soaked in bFGF.
