Abstract:
Objective To analyse the imaging variety and characteristics of vertebral body with ischemic compression fractures. Methods 11 patients whose initial diagnosis was osteoporotic vertebral compressed fractures while the final diagnosis was ischemic vertebral compression fractures were followed-up.During their subsequent visit 11 cases were undergone radiographic examination and the morphologic and the characteristics of variety of the vertebral body with compressed fractures were observed under X-ray fluoroscopy in the different position.8 cases were undergone spiral CT scan. The all imaging data of 11 cases were analysed. Results The dynamic imaging findings of the compressed vertebral body in 11 cases were progressive vertebral collapse and kyphosis. The collapsed vertebral bodies were flat in morphology in 8 cases, biconcave in 3 cases. The vacuum cleft was present in all collapsed vertebral bodies. Conclusion The imaging features of ischemic vertebral compressed fractures are of certain characteristic.
