Abstract:
An orthotopic penetrating keratoplasty model was used to study the immunosuppressive effect of FK 506 on the corneal re-allograft in Lewis rats. Nine eyes received subconjunctival injections of FK 506 (0.2mg/kg) once every three days. Physiological saline was used in 9 eyes as control.
