Abstract:
Objective To develop a method for determination of trace zinc in human hair. Methods ?-cyclodextrin polymer(?-CDP) was synthesized using epichlorohydrin as the cross-link agent and it was used as the carrier of 2-?5-bromo-(2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol. Resin-phase spectrophotometric method with (?-CDP)and 5-Br-PADAP was used for determination of trace zinc. Results The maximum absorbance of inclusion resin was at 570 nm with apparent molar absorption of 8.63?105 L/(mol?cm). The Beer's law was obeyed in the range of 4-720 ?g/L. The regression equation of calibration was y=0.001 1+0.132 0x, with a correlation coefficient of 0.998 4 and the recovery rates were 99.5%-100.4%. Conclusion The method is simple, sensitive, accurate and can be used for the determination of trace zinc in human hair with satisfactory results.
