Analysis of 124 cases of cholelithiasis operations in aged patients

- Abstract: Objective To summarize the experience of surgical operation on aged cholelithiasis patients. Methods The clinical data of 124 cases of clolelithiasis were studied retrospectively. Results Among the 124 cases, 91(73 4%)cases had complications,92(74 2%) hospitalizedin emergency,40(32 3%)underwent emergency operation and 12(7 9%) combined with cholecyst or bile ductcarcinoma. Cholecystectomy with exploration of common bile duct was the main operation style Twelve (9 7%)cases died during peri operation penad. Conclusions Surgical treatment of aged cholelithiasis is safe and effective. The operation must be simple and valid and surgeons should be careful for complications during peri operationperiod.
