Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the expression of Sp3 gene of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients and the correlation between Sp3 gene expression and clinical manifestation Methods Two pairs of primers were used to amplify cDNAs generated from 33 MS patients and 90 controls including healthy controls, other nonimmunological neurological disease controls and the other neuroimmunological diseases than MS controls Results The deficient expression of Sp3 gene in MS patients (45%, 15/33) is statistically significantly higher than that in the other 3 control groups ( P
