Abstract:
AIM:To study the therapeutic effects of self-drafted Guzhang prescription in treatment of patients of liver cirrhosis(LC) and ascites. METHODS: 98 LC patients with ascits were randomly divided into two groups.The control group(48 cases)was treated with chemical medicine,including vitamins,hepatoprotective agent,diuretic and albumin(if necessary).The treatment group(50 cases) was treated with traditional Chinese medicine of Guzhang prescription.The therapeutic course was one year in two groups.The ascites-associated symptoms and signs,liver function,and HBV markers were observed before and after treatment, and biopsy in the liver was performed in part of the patients.
