Abstract:
Objective To study the diagnostic significance of spiral CT(SCT)on thoracolumbar spine fracture. Methods SCT findings of 21 cases(26 vertebrae)of thoracolumbar spine fracture were analysed. Results There were six vertebrae with simple flexible compression fracture,20 vertebrae with fragmental compression fracture and two vertebrae with fracturedislocation. The display rates of involvement of the middle axia and spinal canal were 77% and 50% for SCT,which were much better than routine CT(61% and 38%).Conclusion SCT can be used to directly show the full pathological anatomy of thoracolumbar fracture,in order to obtain more valuable information for clinical classification and stability determination accurately.
