Abstract:
PURPOSE to study the effect of comprehensive chemotherapy in combination with Jianpi Liqi Chinese herbs in a randomized trial for the treatment of middle or advanced liver cancer.METHODS From Jancuary 1990 to January 1997,242 liver cancer pationts with middle advanced stage were randomly divided into two groups:(1)MFP group(MMC,5 FU,DDP).(2)MFP combined Jianpi Liqi group.RESULTS Symptomus,tumor remission rates were 11.5% in the MFP group and 50.8% in the combined group.The half,1 and 3 6 year survival rate in the MFP group were 22.7%,16.6% and 4.3% and 54.6%,53.2% and 18.7% in combined group respectively.
