Abstract:
In this paper lymphocyte monoclonal antibodies were used to determine subpopulation of T cell in patients with Keshan disease and abnormal subpopulation was found. Activity of IL-2 in rats which fed with diet from disease area was much lower than that in controls. The activity of IL 2 enhanced when selenium was administrated to the diet. It is possible that Keshan disease may be an autoimmune disease and the disease factors could damage T cell function. Selenium (Se) could enhance cellularimmunity.
