Abstract:
In the present work we measured the concentration of Interleukin 1(IL-l) in the supernatant of cultured macrophage by the amount of ~3H-thymidine incoporated into T cells. The concentration of IL-1 was found to be marketly increased when macrophages were cultured with LPS (10?g/ml), SiO_2(100?g/ml), C.Parvum(1mg/mouse) Comparing the effects of these three stimulants on the incease of IL-1 from macrophage SiO_2 appeared to be the strongest one and C.P. and LPS were found to have cooperation for this increase in IL-1. Matrine,at the concentration of 100?g/ml, was found to antagonize the effect of LPS on theactivation of macrophage.
