Investigation and Analysis on Utilization of Antimicrobials for Breast Malignant Tumor in Perioperative Period

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the utilization of antimicrobials for breast malignant tumor in perioperative period. METHODS:Medical records of patients with breast malignant tumor in our hospital were analyzed statistically and retrospectively. RESULTS:100% of patients received antibacterial drugs preventively in perioperative period. Positive rate of administration time was 100%. 363 patients underwent operations over 3 hours were not given antimicrobials;the average time of application of antimicrobials in perioperative period was 90 h. The utilization ratio of first generation cephalosporins and penicillins was 55.1% and that of four categories was 41.1%,such as penicillin spiked with enzyme inhibitors,quinolones,third generation cephalosporins and second generation cephalosporins. 6 patients replaced antimicrobials unreasonably and 3 patients were given Azithromycin sodium chloride injection. CONCLUSION:The utilization of antibacterials in patients with breast malignant tumor in perioperative period is appropriate on the whole while there still are some problems.
