Abstract:
OBJECTIVE:To study the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects of the compound Sage Herb granules.METHODS:The in vitro and in vivo antibacterial test,xylene-induced mouse ear swelling test,xylene-induced abdominal capillary permeability test were conducted to study the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects of the compound Sage Herb granules.RESULTS:The compound Sage Herb granules showed different degree of inhibitory effects on staphylococcus aureus, pseudomonas aureginosa, escherichia coli and proteus in vitro, significantly brought down the mortality rates of mice infected by protei, but had on impact on the mortality rate of mice infected with coli infection, and significantly inhibited xylene-induced ear swelling and increased abdominal capillary permeability of mice.CONCLUSION:The compound Sage Herb granules have good antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects both in vivo and in vitro.
