Abstract:
Study was performed on 750 old persons of two groups. Group 1 of 661 subjects with one or more risk factors of atherosclerosis such as high blood pressure, diabetes, blood lipid disorder, smoking, obesity; group 2 of 89 healthy subjects. Results showed that in group with risk factor, the thickness of middle internal membrane of primitive carotid aorta is thicker than that in healthy group.
