Abstract:
This research was undertaken in three provinces: Ha Noi, Thai Binh and Phu Tho with 4410 pupils aged 8 to14. The pupils studied are the children of 3 types of parents: Both parents are government workers; One parent is a government worker and the other works outsite the government; Both parents are farmers. The research findings show that pupils with both parents in government service have better physical development than the other groups. Pupils whose parents are both farmers had the lowest level of the physical development indicators. This is an important warning to the government for the need to pay special attention to improving the social, cultural and social lives of farmers in all regions to create good conditions for the future physical development of these children.
