Expression of hTRT and Bax in Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma

Abstract:
Objective To study the expressions of human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTRT) mRNA and Bax protein in different types of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Methods hTRT mRNA was detected using in situ hybridization, and Bax protein was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The positive rates of hTRT were 86.21%,68.97%, 93.33%, 96.43% and 41.79% in PTC, papillary microcarcinoma, intra-thyroid carcinoma, extra-thyroid carcinoma and adjacent tumor tissues, respectively.
