Abstract:
AIM: To study whether the excitatory amino acids (EAAs)-triggered excitotoxicity contribute to the evolution of hyperbilirubinemia-associated brain injury. METHODS: Newborn rabbits with hyperbilirubinemia were decapitated and then, Na~+-K~+-ATPase activities, neurotransmitters and non-neurotransmitters concentration in brains were determined.
