Abstract:
OBJECTIVE:To develop the method for determination of the contents of protocatechuic acid in Litchi seed and its preparations.METHODS:The contents of protocatechuic acid were determined by HPLC with Spherisorb C18 column as stationary phase and acetonitrile-water(15∶18) as mobile phase and ? 260nm as detection wavelength.RESULTS:The calibration curve was linear in this experiment.The average recovery was 100% with RSD of 2%(n=5).CONCLUSION:This method is high in precision and satisfactory in isolation and repeatability,the result is accurate.It may be adopted for quality control of Litchi seed preparations.
