Abstract:
AIM: To observe the effect of ?-glucosindase inhibitor, acarbose on the aortic collagen nonenzymatic glycosylation in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats . METHODS: The treated group (DM+A) was given acarbose (1 mg?kg -1 ). The aortic collagen and its AGEs concentration were measured at the scheduled periods (1, 3 and 6 months ).
