Abstract:
The changes of plasma endothelin (ET) concentration and pulmonary arteriolar micromorphometric indexes including mean medial thickness in pulmonary arterioles (mMTPA), relative ratios of vessel wall area/total area(WA/TA), vessel lumen area/total area(EA/TA) on pulmonary arterioles, percentage of thickwalled peripheral lung vessels (TWPV) and mean density of pulmonary arterioles (mRPD) were observed in pulmonary hypertensive rats induced by hypoxia and hypercapnia. The results showed that all the values, appeared gradual changes with prolongation of time of hypoxia and hypercapnia. The tow-week group and four-week group exposed hypoxic and hypercapnic envirament compared with control group differences were significant(P
