Abstract:
Transvenous permanent cardiac pacing operations of 289 times were performed in 223 consecutive patients with various heart diseases including 121 male and 102 female from June 1982 to May 1992. The cardiac dysrhythmias mainly comprised of Sick Sinus Syndrome (112 cases, 50.2%) and Ⅲ? AVB (88 cases, 39.5%) . 143 patients underwent Adams-Stokes syndrome. The series of cases used various types of pacemakers including VVI, AAI, DDD, SSIR, DDDR and antitachycardia pacemaker. Some malfunctions and complications of cardiac pacing developed in the patients and methods of treatment were introduced.
