Effects of dexamethasone pre-treatment on serum and tissue level of lipid peroxides and serum superoxide dismutase activity in dogs with hemorrhagic shock

Abstract:
Ten dogs with experimental hemorrhagic shock were equally divided into a dexamethasone-pretreated group (HSD) and a nontrcated group (HS). Arterial blood pressure was kept at 5.3-6.6kPa by bleeding infusion through a femoral artery. The experimental results indicated that serum lipid peroxide level of the HSD group was significantly lower than that of the HS group (P
