Abstract:
80 patients with allergic rhinitis aged 16-55 and 40 healthy persons aged 20-50 without allergic history and chronic disease were studied. Positive skin prick-test of 1+, 2+, 3+ level subjects were the majority. In allergic rhinitis patients, total IgE level was higher than normal subjects. In healthy persons, serum specific IgE presented with siverse levels. There was a correlation between skin sprick-test and specific IgE, in 2.38% there was total IgE and specific IgE of low level, in 78.58% these two were of high level, in 11.9% total IgE was high but specific IgE low. 7.14% had low total IgE but high specific IgE
