Effect of the serum leptin and hs-CRP levels by Levetiracetam in patients with epilepsy

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of the serum leptin and hs-CRP levels by Levetiracetam in patients with epilepsy.Methods 150 patients with epilepsy from our hospital were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the experiment group with 75 cases in each group.The control group were treated by sodium valproate and carbamazepine and the experiment group were treated in the base of the control group with Levetiracetam.The LP,hs-CRP,TC and TG levels were compared before and after treatment.Results Compared with before treatment,there was no significant change in serum LP,TC and TG levels,the hs-CRP were lower(P<0.05),and the indexes of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Levetiracetam to the pediatric epilepsy patients to good therapeutic effect,reduce the side effects of hazards,speculated that the mechanism may be related to the left B Raschig Tan to maintain patients serum leptin,triglyceride,total cholesterol levels,reduce the levels of high sensitivity C reactive protein related.
