Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect on Harris hip score of osteoprotegerin for bone mineral density in patients with hormone os-teonecrosis. Methods Sixty patietns with glucocorticoid-induced avascular necrosis admitted in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups,30 cases in the control group received routine calcitonin treatment for a period of 4 weeks treatment,30 cases in the experimental group treated by femoral head subperiosteal injection for bone protection (0. 5 mg/kg) based on conventional treatment for a period of 4 weeks. Then the bone mineral density,pain index and Harris hip score of 2 groups before and after treatment were compared. Results The bone mineral density of 2 groups has increased after treatment,compared with control group[(0.84 ±0.22) g/cm2,(0.81 ±0.23)g/cm2], thebonemineraldensityofexperimentalgroupincreasedobviously[(0.99±0.20) g/cm2,0.98±0.25)g/cm2].Thepainindexscoreof2 groups has decreased,the pain index score of experimental group (0. 76 ± 0. 62) point was lower than that of control group (1. 56 ± 1. 02) point. The pain index level of experiment group was more excellent than that of control group. The Harris score of experimental group (92. 10 ± 12. 23) point was obviously higher than that of control group(83. 15 ± 14. 63) point. The level of Harris score in experimental group was more excellent than that in control group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). Conclusion Osteoprotegerin can obviously improve the patient' s clinical indicators,which has guiding significance for hormone osteonecrosis in clinic.
