Abstract:
Objective To learn the present health education at public hospitals.Methods Questionnaires survey and specialist interview were used at eight public hospitals in Beijing.Results Establishment of hospital health education organizations(100.0%),and greater diversity in the forms and contents of health education.Problems found include short supply of health education,and lack of attention by both management and employees for such education,lack of HR resource and policy support, and that of a health education pattern for hospital to develop an efficient health education.Conclusions Proposals made are as follows:clear definition of government role and greater support;better training mechanism to develop a team for such education;an appraisal system to probe into a model desirable for sustainable development of hospital health education.
