Diagnose and results of surgary for patients with lumbar and lumbosacral herniations at Viet Duc Hospital in the years (8/1998-8/2003)

Abstract:
Resprospective study and prospective study on 115 patients with lumbar and lumbosacral hemiations treated surgically at Viet Duc Hospital in 5 years (8/1998-8/2003). The study has proved to be: the sex ratio is 1.45 (men 59.1%), almost of working age (78.3%) in which the age group of 40-49 years old major (37.4%). Hemia position major is L4-L5 (64.4%) and L5-S1 (27.8%), in which 41.7% of case is due to hight moving spine, wrong postural. Examinated on 72 patients showed that: excellent (58.4%), good (31.9%), fair (6.9%), poor (2.8%). The effectivity risks to the results as follows: age of patients, the clinical situation before operation, associated pathology and the method of surgery.
