Abstract:
Type 2 diabetes mellitus,a endocrine disease,threatens human health.Recent researches have indicated that the osteoprotegerin is associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus closely.The content of osteoprotegerin, existing in circulating system, pancreas, liver and fat of diabetic patients, changed significantly.The osteoprotegerin is also closely related to the vascular complication of diabetes mellitus, which has been discussed by many scholars.In this paper, the relation between osteoprotegerin and type 2 diabetes mellitus is summarized by reviewing relevant literatures, Providing new ideas concerning treatment of diabetes mellitus.
