Abstract: [Summary] During the past 100 years, especially since New China was born, China has made important substantial contributions to the progress and development of medicine in the world. Dedication, hardship, innovation, and exploration were the key elements behind these significant achievements. Medical universities should energetically train and give incentives to the talented young people and encourage their innovation, while medical students and young doctors should establish and forge ahead with determination, persist in exploring new frontiers, and make even more remarkable achievements in the future.
