Comparison of the effects of quadruple and triple chemotherapy in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori posi-tive peptic ulcer

Abstract:
Objective To compare the curative effect of quadruple therapy and triple therapy for Helicobact-er pylori positive peptic ulcer.Methods 62 patients with Helicobacter pylori positive peptic ulcer were randomly devided into observation group(32 cases)and control group(30 cases).Patients in the control group were treated with triple therapy (lansoprazole,amoxicillin,clarithromycin),while the observation group was given quadruple therapy (lansoprazole,amoxicillin,clarithromycin,colloidal bismmth pectin).The clinical efficacy,ulcer healing rate,H.pylori eradication rate and adverse reaction rate of the two groups were observed and compared.Results The clinical effect of the observation group was better than the control group(remission rate 96.88% vs.83.33%),the difference was significant (χ2 =21.44,P <0.05).The H.pylori eradication rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (93.75% vs 76.67%)(χ2 =49.56,P <0.05).The ulcer healing rate in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P >0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups had no statistically significant difference (P >0.05).Conclusion Quadruple therapy in the treatment of H.pylori positive peptic ulcer has good curative effect,did not increase the incidence of adverse reactions.It is worthy of popularization and application.
