Abstract: Cytokine-induced killer ( CIK ) cells are a cluster of heterogeneous cells prepared from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells ( PBMC ) with the co-stimulation of some kinds of cytokines.CIK cells are characterized with rapid proliferation rate, high antitumor effects, broad tumoricidal spectrum, and few side effects.CIK cells have particularly applied in hematology.Now it starts a new generation of adoptive immunotherapy.In this article new development of CIK cells in department of hematology is reviewed.
