Evaluating the implementation of national benchmarks in health care at commune level in the period 2001-2010

Abstract:
This study was aimed to evaluate the implementation some issues such as socialization of public health care and prevention, health communication and education at commune level during 2001-2010 period. Results: 88.4% of commune had Committee for primary health care that was operating; the goal of 100% commune had Committee for primary health care could be achieved by the year 2005 in the Red River Delta, Mekong River Delta and rural are of the North Central Coast; and by the year 2010 in the Northwest, South Central Coast and Southeast. There were 22% communes had health funds, with the highest rate in North Central Coast (45.5%), 70-80% commune had staffs for health communication and education. It is needed to make policies for implementing national health standards.
