Effects of thiazolidinediones on vascular endothelial function in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract: Objective To study the effect of thiazolidinediones on vascular endothelial function in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods 50 patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly selected as the research objects,the representative drug pioglitazone application situation for 50 patients were measured before and after the treatment,fasting blood glucose,postprandial 2h blood glucose,total cholesterol,high density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein,total cholesterol,triglyceride,fasting insulin,glycosylated protein and inflammatory factors in red vascular cell adhesion factor were detected.Results the patients after treatment of endothelium dependent vaso-dilatation function improved,compared with those before treatment (P <0.05),fasting blood glucose,patients after the treatment of 2h after meal blood glucose.Conclusion The two thiazolidinediones can effectively improve type 2 diabetes vascular endothelial function,and have a positive effect on the prevention of patients with cardiovascular dis-ease.
