Abstract:
Objective To investigate the expression of miR-195 and its association with clinicopathologic features in gastric cancer. Methods The expression level of miR-195 in 30 cases of gastric cancer and matched non-tumor adjacent tissue specimens were examined by using reverse transcription real-time PCR.The relationship between the expression of miR-195 and its clinicopathologic features of gastric cancer was analyzed. At the same time, the expression of miR-195 in four gastric cancer cell lines and normal human gastric epithelial cells were detected. Results The expression level of miR-195 was significantly lower in the tumor tissues than that in the adjacent tissues (P<0.05). Down-regulated miR-195 expression was associated with lymph node metastasis (P<0.05) in gastric cancer patients. Clinical and pathological analysis showed that miR-195 in gastric carcinoma tissues had no relationship with sex, age, the degree of tumor differentiation and tumor metastasis stage. Conclusion It is possible that miR-195 plays an important role in the generation and progression of gastric cancer, and it was associated with lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer patients.
