Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating relapsed migraine. Method Totally 126 patients with relapsed migraine were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 63 in each group. The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture, while the control group was by medication. The onset time of remission was observed, and the clinical efficacy was compared. Result The onset time of remission was (0.8±1.7)h in the treatment group versus (1.3±1.8)h in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The total effective rate was 85.7%in the treatment group versus 82.5% in the control group, and the difference was statistically insignificant (P>0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture is an effective method in treating relapsed migraine.
