Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of collateral bloodletting plus Isotretinoin Erythromycin gel in treating acne vulgaris.Method Ninety-three patients with acne vulgaris were randomized into a treatment group of 47 cases and a control group of 46 cases. The treatment group was intervened by collateral bloodletting plus Isotretinoin Erythromycin gel, while the control group was by using the gel alone. Two treatment courses later, the skin lesions count was compared and the therapeutic efficacy was evaluated.Result After treatment, the skin lesions count (including papules, pustules, and nodules) was significantly different from that before treatment in both groups (P<0.01). There was a significant difference in comparing the skin lesions count between the two groups after intervention (P<0.05). The total effective rate was 93.6% in the treatment group versus 78.3% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Collateral bloodletting plus Isotretinoin Erythromycin gel is an effective approach in treating acne vulgaris.
