Abstract: Objective To investigate the epidemic characteristics of hyperuricemia (HUA) in physical examination adults of Xia‐olan region .Methods 28 659 cases of physical examination adults were selected as research subjects in 2011-2012 .The levels of u‐rine acid were detected and the HUA positive rates were statistically analyzed .Results The positive rate of HUA during 2012 (27 .4% ) was lower than that during 2011 (35 .6% ) ,and the differences was statically significant(P<0 .01) .The positive rate of HUA in men was significantly higher than that in women(P<0 .05) .61 -94 age group had the highest HUA positive rate .The third quarter (July to September) was the the high‐frequency time of HUA in a year .Conclusion Grasping the epidemiological characteristics of HUA is conducive to disease prevention .
