Clinical study on bicyclol tablets in preventing liver damage caused by anti-tuberculosis drugs

Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of bicyclol tablets in preventing liver damage caused by anti -tu-berculosis drugs .Methods According to the different treatment method ,100 tuberculosis patients were divided into the treatment group and the control group ,each group 50 cases.Both groups were given standardized anti-TB treat-ment,while the treatment group were added to bicyclol tablets throughout the treatment ,and add the control group were added to silibinin capsule throughout the treatment .The liver damage of the two groups were compared .Results There were 6 cases who had liver damage in treatment group (6.0%),and 20 cases who had liver damage in the con-trol group(20.0%),and there was significant difference between the two groups (χ2 =8.66,P<0.01).Conclusion Bicyclol tablets is more effective in preventing liver damage caused by anti-tuberculosis drugs than silibinin cap-sules.
