Abstract: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerativedisease. Ovariectomized (OVX) AD rat model has been widely used in the experimental research recently. This article reviewed the method of OVX model establishment, behaviorchange, histopathology and biochemistry. Articles published in recent 20 years were collected in the review of the development.
