Surgical treatment and prevention of complications of hyperthyroidism

Abstract:
Objective To explore the prevention and treatment of surgical operation treatment and postoperative hyperthyroidism complications.Methods A retrospective analysis of 79 cases of hyperthyroidism was underwent subtotal thyroidectomy in patients with clinical data.Results 6 cases had complications after operation,including 1 cases of dyspnea,2 cases of hoarseness,1 cases of temporary hypoparathyroidism.Follow up of 16 months to 3 years,there were 2 cases of hypothyroidism,thyroid function recovered to normal after treatment.In this group,there was no death,no permanent hypoparathyroidism,no recurrence.Conclusion Surgical operation is the best method to treat hyperthyroidism.Focusing on the treatment of perioperation period can effectively prevent the operation complications andimprove the success rate of operation.
