Abstract:
The controlled study was carried out in 202 women in Southern area and 97 women in Northern area with cervical cancer to investigate some factors contributed to cervical cancer rate in Vietnamesse women. Control group included women with another cancer but not cervical cancer. The odd ratio of cervical cancer among Southern women whose husbands served in the army was 2.6 (95% CI = 1.2-5.5). The odd ratio of cervical cancer among Northern women whose husbands go soldiering in the Southern was 2.6 (95% CI = 1.2-5.5). Women whose husbands garrisoned in the Southern had the same rate of cervical cancer compared with women whose husbands were civilians.
