Abstract: [Objective] To investigate the proximal femoral nail operation combined with traditional Chinese medicine therapeutic effect in the treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures. [Methods] 44 intertrochanteric fracture patients in our school from June 2011 to June 2012, were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 22 cases in each group, the control group patients were treated with proximal femoral intramedul ary nail operation treatment, the patients in the experimental group with combination drug therapy, compared two groups prognosis and curative effect. [Results] Patients in two groups had no postoperative complications, there was no significant difference in the overal effect, but the patients in the experimental group, the fracture healing and weight loading with time were significantly lower than the control group. [Conclusions] Proximal femoral nail operation combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment had the significant role in promoting the patients' recovery, worthy of clinical application.
